The Diocese of East Carolina is sponsoring a one-day mission team training conference on Saturday, November 16th, at Trinity Center, 618 Salter Path Road, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512. This event is not limited to missioners from East Carolina, but is open to all interested participants. The cost is $10, and lunch will be provided.

“Have you ever wondered what it takes to plan a Short Term Mission? Do you want to know all the ins, outs, costs and time it takes to make a Short Term Mission happen? Do you have a a strong interest, but lack experience, in planning such trip for you and others in your parish? ….Come to the Mission Training day to learn what a mission trip really is, how to prepare, and have all of your questions answered!”

Speakers include Richard Taft, an experienced leader of medical mission teams; Bill Kunkle, the Executive Director of The Dominican Development Group, Karen Carroll, head of the mission team support office in Santo Domingo, and Rebecca Gibson and Rosa Gibson, VBS mission team leaders from Christ Episcopal, Winchester, VA; and Carol Milam on building a playground.
