Bill Kunkle, the Executive Director of the Dominican Development Group, has set the next meeting of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Development Group for Monday, February 17, 2014, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Board traditionally meets twice each year, once in Santo Domingo immediately following the annual convention of the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic, and once in one of the DDG’s companion dioceses in the United States. This next meeting will be held in conjunction with the 56th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo from February 14-16, 2014.

Board members arriving early for the meeting will have the opportunity to attend the Dominican diocesan convention to be held on the grounds of the Epiphany Cathedral and the Center for Theological Education in Santo Domingo. Two features of the convention will be sermons by the Rt. Rev. Scott Barker, Bishop of the Diocese of Nebraska, and by the Rt. Rev. William Skilton, Assistant Bishop of the Dominican Republic (retired). The Diocese of Nebraska maintains a companion relationship with the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. Bishop Holguín’s annual address to the convention about the state of the Diocese of the Dominican Republic will also be highly anticipated.
