Bishop Coadjutor Election on July 25, 2015

The Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic is preparing to hold an election for a Bishop Coadjutor on Saturday, July 25. The election will be held in Epiphany Cathedral in Santo Domingo. Registration for delegates for this Special Convention begins at 8:00 a.m, followed by a worship service of Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. The Convention opens for business at 10:30 a.m., and the first ballot is expected to be cast at 11:00 a.m. Voting will continue during the day and into the evening as necessary, with a lunch break at 1:00 p.m. and a supper break at 6:30 p.m.

The Election Committee intends to broadcast these proceedings live via streaming video over the Internet. As soon as that link is available, it will be added here. The video link and the results of ballots will also be posted on the Facebook pages of the Diocese of the Dominican Republic and of the Dominican Development Group .

On Monday, July 21, members of several committees charged with the logistics of carrying out the election met in Epiphany Cathedral to go over the arrangements for July 25. Some photographs from that meeting are posted below.
