On October 8, 2016, at the San Gabriel Episcopal Church in Consuelo, San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic, the Daughters of the King gathered to celebrate their tenth assembly with the theme: to love Christ by serving their neighbor and taking Christ to them.
Some 100 Daughters of the King from all over the country gathered, accompanied by the Diocesan Bishop, Julio César Holguín; the Bishop Coadjutor, Moisés Quezada; the National Chaplain, Augusto Sandino Sánchez, and members of the clergy of the entire Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic. The event was preceded by the outgoing president, Ysabel Lantigua, and the other daughters of the National Board sharing their reports with the assembly. In the midst of this wonderfully spiritual celebration, the election of new officers was held and the following were elected: Berkys Herrera, President; Hortensia Paredes, Vice-President; Ana Celeste Peguero, Secretary; Maria D. Perez, Treasurer; and Josefina Fersola, member. The Assembly concluded with Holy Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Holguín, with a call to serve unconditionally in the name of Christ.
