The Board of Directors of the Dominican Development Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Christy Wallace as our new Interim Office Manager of the DDG office in Tampa. This position is vital during this time of transition as we continue the search for the next DDG Executive Director. The Interim Office Manager will continue the financial and administrative work of the DDG including all correspondence, receipt of donations, bank deposits, and transfer of funds to the Dominican Episcopal Church.
Christy comes to us with a professional background in public administration, and she has extensive experience with short-term mission in the Dominican Republic. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from Clemson. Christy and her husband have relocated to Tampa for the next year while he completes an assignment as a physician at Moffitt Cancer Center. We are grateful to Christy for her willingness to join the DDG during this time.
The DDG Board would also like to express its sincere thanks to board members Sally Thompson and Bishop Michael Garrison for their tireless work in the Tampa office. They have ensured that the normal office operations of the DDG have continued and that all donations have been processed and transferred to the diocesan office in Santo Domingo. Thank you, Sally and Bishop Garrison!
